Need info on when he left FL and whereabouts. Last record I have is the 1974 ALEA seniority list which shows him starting in 1957. The SSDI shows a Wayne L. Doty dying in Oct 1993, age 62, in Wasco Oregon. Any info appreciated. -Jake Lamkins (1/3/10) I came to TUL in early 1970 from BVO and Wayne was there when I came. I always wondered what happened to him. He was a swell person, a good worker and a good friend. Everybody liked him He was around Tulsa for a while after he left the company and one day he just disappeared. His wife was name Peggy. I'm sorry I cannot not give you dates - my memory of years is poor. I wish many times that I had kept a diary of my years with FL. I just remember the hi lites but oh what stories I could tell if I had kept a record. Hope this little bit on Wayne helps. -Ron Stone (1/3/10) FLacebook posting on CN insignia which includes Wayne's nameplate: That name plate is for Wayne Doty. He was a station agent/station manager in PPF MKO TUL from 1957 until about 1976. -Jake Lamkins (10/21/16) There are 14 Wayne Dotys in the SSDI so I need a birthdate to pin down which is him. -Jake Lamkins (10/21/16) W L DOTY Emp# 03369 TUL station agent DOB 9/23/27 DOH 4/1/57 Per the Dec 1970 Frontier employees roster. He is shown on the Jan 1974 agent seniority list but not on the Jul 1978 seniority list so I will show him leaving in 1976. I don't have any seniority lists between the dates above. -Jake Lamkins (1/11/20) The Kansas City Times from Kansas City, Missouri · April 19, 1961 Parsons—Business at the Central Airlines office of the Tri-City airport west of here is gaining, but the first month’s business is below minimum standards, according to Wayne L. Doty, airline manager. A total of 103 persons boarded planes at Tri-City during the first month of service. -https://www.newspapers.com/newspage/59024676/ Central started service to the Tri-Cities, PPF, on Mar 13, 1961 so it looks like Wayne opened the station. I dn't have any Central newsletters from that time period to check. -Jake Lamkins (1/13/20) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Wayne Doty MKO PPF TUL station agent/manager Wayne Doty's memorial webpage is posted at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Wayne_Doty.html I finally found Wayne's birthdate so I could confirm his flight west.
