She was the supervisor for the flight attendants in the 70s. -Connie Marshall (12/18/19) Amazing! I was just wondering about your mom a few days ago. A flight attendant who worked with her asked about her. Hope she is well and can join us too. Here's a pic of her from back then. -Jake Lamkins (12/19/19) Thank you Jake. My mother passed away in 2008 from cancer. I connected with Cliff Knight because I saw from another post that his father was a pilot for Frontier. He connected me to you. I didn't even know about this site. I knew a lot of the flight attendants. My mother worked at Central before this. She worked at Love Field and DFW from 1969 to around 1979. It is great you started this site. Thank you for the pic. -Connie Marshall (12/19/19) Connie, It's great to get connected with you. But I'm sorry to hear about your mom. I too started with Central Airlines - in 1964. What years did Vivian work there? Was she a flight attendant? I have a Frontier roster showing her DOH as 12/27/67 which is nearly 3 months after Frontier bought Central. Did she quit for awhile? I want to build her a memorial webpage for the Frontier website. You can see them at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Obituaries.html If you could send her obituary and your favorite photo of her I would appreciate it. -Jake Lamkins (12/19/19) Jake Lamkins to FLacebook on 12/23/19 Let's welcome our new member: Connie Marshall Daughter of VIVIAN NOBLES 1967 - 1978 CHIEF FLIGHT ATTENDANT DAL DFW Henry Greathouse Welcome to the pack. Your Mother was a class act. Was your Mom a supervisor in DFW in late 70 early 80's ? Connie Marshall Thank you so much. Yes she was a class act and a supervisor for the flight attendants at Love and then DFW during that time. Henry Greathouse She was my favorite Supervisor in 10 years and 3 bases. Great lady. Connie Marshall Thank you so much. Elaine Long Welcome Connie. Your Mom was my Chief Stew in DAL, 1965-1972. She was charming, beautiful, and kind! I have the best memories of her and lots of photos. You have her same smile and are just as beautiful. Connie Marshall Thank you so much Elaine. I can't think of kinder words than comparing me to her. Probably the best compliment this year. Thank you for your sweet words. I would like to see some of your photos sometime. Elaine Long I will go through my photos and send them to you. Connie Marshall Thank you so much. I would appreciate that. What was your last name then. I knew a lot of the flight attendants. Elaine Long Elaine Gbur Connie Marshall I remember you. (12/22/19) Connie Marshall April 9, 2008. Thanks Jake. (12/23/19) FLacebook req to join 12/27/19 Tony Nobles My mother worked for Central and later Frontier. I've flown since I was 2. Mother was Vivian Nobles or Vivian Williams at Central (12/25/19) Hi Tony, I want to build a memorial webpage for your mom on the Frontier Airlines website. An obituary and any photos you want to include would be helpful. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/ObitsFAs.html -Jake Lamkins (12/27/19) Ill send some to you but the ones I have are mostly from Central days. -Tony Nobles (12/27/19) CN is good - that's where I started in 1964 and their history is part of Frontier's. Any info on when she started and when she quit will be good too. -Jake Lamkins I flew with her as a child back in the early 50s maybe 1953 or 54. I remember going in the DC3. Here is a couple from the early Central days. Vivian and I think Genie or Jenny doing promotional shots at Ft Worth zoo for Central about 1954 / 55. -Tony Nobles Thanks, Tony. Which is your mom? By Jenny - do you mean Jeannie Eller? What was your mom's last name back then before she married? -Jake Lamkins Vivian is in far right both photos..her name was either Williams or Wright at that time not sure. Best guess is Williams -Tony Nobles I'm assuming she quit flying for Central when she married. When was that? Any idea when she quit Frontier as chief flight attendant? -Jake Lamkins She quit Central in about 1956 or 57 and she became ill and was forced to leave Frontier in the early 80s. I think Irma Schell (Erma Spell) took her place in Dallas. -Tony Nobles Erma is shown as DFW Manager-Flight Service in the Nov 1977 FL telephone directory. Found an article showing her appointment in May 1976. The last reference to her I've found is when she got her 10 year pin in Dec 1977. So I'll show her leaving about 1978 until I get more info. -Jake Lamkins I'm looking for some photos I took in the 60s of a 727 emergency training class in Dallas.. all attendants had to remove the overwing exits and jump down slides as part of it . It was an all night session done at Love Dallas about 1967/ 68 when the 727 went on line. Ill let you know if I can find them. -Tony Nobles OK, sounds good. Need an obituary too if possible. I have a Dec 1970 Frontier roster showing her DOH at Frontier as 12/27/67. -Jake Lamkins I'll have to find it.. -Tony Nobles (12/27/19) The Paris News from Paris, Texas, May 21, 1954 - Page 19 CAN YOU TOP THIS?
