He also had a great sense of humor and made me feel so comfortable when I first started. My prayers go out to his family and hopefully the joyful memories will soon overtake the pain of missing him. Mike White Truman called me out of the blue about a year ago at my office in DC. We talked for over an hour. He was raised in Elida NM near the ranch where my Mom was born. He went to school in Elida with my cousin. When FL was going under he had already gone to UA. I was a temp contract employee for UA and was hoping to became permanent. I had an interview with NW and was sitting at the gate waiting to go to MSP for an interview. Truman came by and asked where I was going. Told him about my interview and I told him I couldn’t wait any longer and he said come with me and we went over to the HR person. He said you need to hire him. And they did! Truman like many of us had issues, but he had a good heart. I worked with his brother Dennis in FMN. Rest in peace, Truman. Julie Mast I also owe him for my job with United.
