TOM HOWARD 1956 - 1986 PILOT DEN FATHER OF STATION AGENT BRIAN HOWARD HUSBAND OF FA SHERRY ANDERSON HOWARD I retired, medically, in 1984. Seems like yesterday. I joined FL in 1956 as a pilot, flying DC-3s, and retired as a captain flying 737s. I still fly. My 1966 Cessna 210 is in FL colors with the flying F on the tail. Every once in awhile someone will notice the logo and come over with a warm Frontier greeting. My e-mail address in N580TP@e a r t h l i n k . n e t . Did you notice the '580' in my address? N580TP is the tail number on my airplane. It will be nice communicating with some of the old FLamily. -Tom Howard (9/15/01) T. P. When/where did you work at the old Frontier Airlines? -Jake Lamkins (12/7/14) My father Tom Howard retired after 30 years there DEN and I went to work there as Frontier commuter was shut down. Lorenzo stopped everything. -Brian Howard (12/7/14) Hi Brian, How's your dad doing? Haven't heard from him in awhile. Where did you work at FL, years? Welcome to our group. -Jake Lamkins (12/8/14) My dad lives in Green Valley AZ. I worked in DEN only a short time in 1983/84 on the ramp. -Brian Howard (12/8/14) I just learned Tom Howard had Gone West in July! It is posted on the latest Airline Pilot magazine along with Mel Moore that you are already aware of. My first line trip was with Tom Howard and his, soon-to-be wife, flight attendant Sherry Anderson. We had a lay-over in Columbus, Nebraska. I'll never forget the motel. Each door was painted brightly and in a different color. I won't forget the lonely night either. The most exciting thing to do there was watch the millers buzz around the porch light. I'm sure Tom and Sherry's evening was more interesting. -Billy Walker (11/22/21) Thanks, Billy, I could not find anything about it on the internet. Let me know any additional info you get. -Jake Lamkins (11/23/21) FLacebook I have a report that pilot Tom Howard flew west last summer. If anyone has any info, please post it. Thanks, -Jake Lamkins (11/23/21) FLacebook I have a report that pilot Tom Howard was listed as FLown West in a recent ALPA magazine. I cannot get into their website to verify and cannot find an obituary for Tom. Any pilots out there who can check their latest ALPA magazines and verify? Maybe post a scan of the item. Thanks a lot! -Jake Lamkins (12/1/21) Dan Albers Yes, he is listed as having passed in July in the latest issue. Jake Lamkins Thanks, Dan; any chance you could scan and post it for his memorial webpage. Dan Albers I tried to scan it and post, but the scan doesn't show up on my computer. Maybe someone knows how to get Facebook to accept the scan? Jake Lamkins Thanks, Dan, Al Kendell's son Scott got it posted. Jake Lamkins Scott, Thanks for the help. Fred Watson R.I.P. The FL/ALPA Roster shows him retiring 1/10/86 so he may have been on extended medical leave up until then. However, his 9/15/01 note said he retired medically in 1984. So, he left either in 1984 per him or 1986 per ALPA. Could not find his obituary, death notice or middle name on an internet search.
