STU MILLER 1960 - 1986 STATION AGENT COD PHX Just finished reading the latest FRONTIER NEWS. Great as usual. I can give you some information on James Slaten. He was born and raised in Durango; his family and mine were neighbors and his dad cut my hair when I was a little kid, along with other children, I'm sure. I'm not sure where Jim started with frontier but when I went to work for FL, he was the station manager at Durango. I started for Frontier in Dec. of 1950. If memory serves me correctly, he came to Durango from Gunnison. He was manager here for 4 or 5 years before becoming a car salesman and assistant manager for Miller Motor Co. in Durango. Two other Frontier employees have "gone west" that I know of that's not shown. They are Stuart Miller who died of cancer after I retired. Also Don Blanford. I'm not sure what he died from. Stu transferred to Phoenix from Cody, WY and Don from Winslow, AZ. They were both great people and hard workers. Maybe Dave Ross or John Koehler of the Phoenix area can provide more details on these two. Keep up the good work. -Vern Crawley (2/11/02) I'm sending you what I have. No info on Stu Miller - sorry. Ann Blandford 9/22/90 Don Blandford 11/1/90 Both died suddenly - I don't know the reason or cause. Max Willis 12/22/99, age 83, from complications of alzheimers. Alvin Mosley 12/5/99, age 78, heart attack. Glad I could help. We had no PHX reunion this year. Guess all have lost interest. I'm thankful for the memories. -Ginger Treptow (11/16/02) STUART A MILLER DOB 25 Dec 1933 DOD 21 Dec 1989 Age 56 At 85202 (Mesa, Maricopa, AZ) SSN issued in Wyoming -Social Security Death Index (11/18/02) S.
