SHORTY MAXWELL 1966 - 1982 AIRCRAFT TECHNICIAN, LEAD AIRCRAFT TECHNICIAN STL I read in your last publication that Shorty Maxwell died in 99' at the age of 81 in PHX. Larry Miley owned a John Deere Dealership in Kansas and was killed in a forklift accident this year. John Perry is retired from AA in DFW. Roy Martin, also an automotive mechanic, is retired from CO in HOU. I understand that Wayne Stilwell is living around PHX. Lynn Kentch is retired and living in Casa Grande, AZ. Curtis Perkins went to work for UPS in Louisville and as far as I know is still there. Paul Michaud works for Fed X in Memphis. That is the ones that I know what happened to. I still hear from John, Sam and Lynn ocasionally. -Carl Simpson (2/13/03) I didn't recall Shorty's last name so hadn't ID'd him in Schultz' database. I remember well the day Shorty was on the elevated platform working on the tail area of a 727. The tug was still connected to the platform. This idiot agent hopped on the tug to use it and drove off the whole rig. Down came Shorty! -Jake Lamkins (2/14/03) A.C.
