Shirley Kendig, who was secretary to Dave Burr, and to the Properties & Facilities department in whole as it grew, 
passed away at the age of 85 three years ago, I just read online (see the link https://horancares.com/obits/shirley-kendig/)
I remember her as being most capable, doing what it took and then some to support the activities of the five people in the department 
(Dave, Hugo, Pappy, Carolyn, and myself) with a sole electric typewriter, - this in the days before desktop computer machines.  
When I think back on those days, some 42 years ago, 
I wonder how she managed to satisfy our work demands so well,
- she was always a pleasant lady who worked tirelessly.
