REX MARBLE 1953 - 1960? STATION AGENT INW I started with FL in May, 1955 in RKS. Larry Jereb was manager with Bill Kirkwood, Ray Aho, Bob White, Bob Cady as agents. Had a RON DC3 from DEN so we got to do everything. Was RIF'd to INW in Aug 1955. Don Boderman was manager with Don Blanford, Rex Marble, Red Smith as agents and Al Mosely as SSA. Had RON DC3 from PHX there, so once again got to do everything except INW had a fuel man so we didn't have to fuel. Transferred to SLC in Dec 1955 and worked there until the closedown. Worked with many more, but the memory dims with age. I worked as an agent, SSA, STCA and also Asst Mgr for nine years. -Don Anderton (09-04-11) R. J. J. MARBLE INW Stn. Agt. Per 11/4/55 FL Roster Have not found when he left FL but must have been the early 1960s. -Jake Lamkins (5/4/11) I have memories of Rex as a good guy. First met him in early 1956 when I came back to FAL after my service in the Army. Assigned to INW, people in DEN told me to seek out Rex when I got there as he could provide temporary quarters until I could make housing arrangements. He and his wife were kind and considerate and owned and ran the Marble Motel on the east side of town on old Route 66. He was a mother hen type of guy who wanted things done right, loyal to the company and a good agent. Only worked with him for about 5 months when I transferred to PHX, but I trusted him and he earned my respect. -Ira Kemp, FAL 1953-63 (6/5/11)
