RIP (6/21/24) Sam Sundstrom Facebook on 6/23/24 This week, we said goodbye to a truly great woman. Reyes 'Rae' Tafoya was born on June 21, 1931, and passed on June 5, 2024. Her incredible life was celebrated on Thursday, June 20, with a beautiful memorial. I was grateful to be able to say goodbye to Rae in her final moments. There is so much that could be said about Rae, but most of all she was a remarkable Mother for my best friend, Rod, and loving matriarch for her extended Family. She has had a profound impact on my life. I am blessed to have known Rae and will miss our conversations where she shared, shaped, laughed at, and loved me. We as humans cast a shadow, and Rae's shadow was warm, positive and immense. Rae will be immensely missed. I am eternally grateful to have known her and I will LIVE every moment as she did. I have included some of my many treasured photos with Rae as well as her favorite poem which was read at her funeral, which sums up exactly how she lived her life. It's a guide to be a good human. May you rest in peace, Rae, and I hope to see you again some day.
