Pop was 68 when he began work with Monarch.
He retired in Apr 1953, the first FL employee to do so, at the age of 75.
His son, Jack Burnell, started with Monarch on Jan 1, 1946 and became director of maintenance.
Jack died in 1992 aged 89

Two memorial webpages have been updated.	
Pop Burnell was the first FL employee to retire - in 1953 when he was 75.
Pop was an aircraft mechanic in engine overhaul.
He was 68 when he started with Monarch in Jul 1946.
Working for his son Jack Burnell who started with Monarch in Jan 1946
and was director of maintenance and engineering.
Pop was 93 when he died and Jack was 89.

Arlester L Burnell served with the Wyoming First Battalion, Company G,
in the Spanish American War and spent time in the Phillippines, 1898-1899.
He was carried on the battalion rolls as
Arlester L- Burnell, Laborer, Cheyenne, Wyo.

Probably Frontier's oldest employee, he retired in 1953 when he was 75 years old
and was the first Frontier employee to retire.
Pop was a veteran of the Spanish-American War and served in the Philippines.
