PAUL DUPREE 1946 - 1948 PILOT SLC Sep 1947 photo I sent you that photo. That is Paul DuPree in the middle. He ended up in Germany with Lufthansa. On the left is Brad Hurd's former father-in-law, the late Walt Tubb. Walt ended up with Bonanza and was killed flying his Pitts S-1. Walt was a steward. DuPree was a DC-3 captain for Challenger. I believe DuPree is deceased, but don't know. I'll ask Jack as they were in close touch. -Billy Walker (1/10/13) Paul is not on the 7/15/48 CHA Roster. -Jake Lamkins (1/10/13) There was a packet of seven letters from Paul to Jack Schade in the papers Billy Walker gave me Aug 26, 2017. They are dated from Aug 13, 1984 until Oct 5, 1986. He would be 96 if he is still alive since one letter says he retired from LH in Mar 1981 age 60. -Jake Lamkins (12/31/17) I did some further online research and found Paul's SSDI. He flew west on May 23, 2005 at age 84. I was unable to find an obituary or much other info on him. His career was capped by his 1957 - 1981 service with Lufthansa Airlines. -Jake Lamkins (1/28/18) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Paul DuPree SLC pilot Paul DuPree's memorial webpage is posted at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Paul_DuPree.html He was a Challenger Airlines pilot who left in 1948 and had a varied career ending with 24 years at Lufthansa Airlines in Germany.
