PATT MCDONALD'S FUNERARY GUESTBOOK FROM http://www.legacy.com/dfw/GB/GuestbookView.aspx?PersonId=19919341 November 22, 2006 Keith, I only had the pleasure of meeting your father once, when he took us out to dinner one night during training... from that short period I was able to see why he was so important to you... very few people have the qualities and characteristics that your father possessed. It is comforting to see that you have those same qualities and will continue on in your father's footsteps...Jed Jed Humbert (Freehold, NJ ) November 21, 2006 I met Patt as a friend of Scott's when we were teenagers. I will always remember his passion for the skeet range, his sense of humor and sly smile. I had the opportunity to shake his hand again a few months ago after several years and he hadn't lost any of it. God Bless Patt and his family Terry Duncan (Bedford, TX ) November 20, 2006 Although we haven't flown together for over 20 years, I will always remember our flights together at Frontier Airlines. My thoughts and prayers are with your family. Carl Lorenzen (Blair, NE ) November 20, 2006 Patt, We thought were in danger of losing you 30 years or so ago but you fought the battle for a couple of years and came back stronger than ever. You were a friend as well as a co-worker, both on the line or in the union work which we both participated in. Smooth air and tailwinds. Frosty H A Frost (Camdenton, MO ) November 19, 2006 Mr. McDonald, That is how I always addressed him. I greatly enjoyed the times we could spend together and the laughs we shared. You were always the coolest Dad and treated me like one of your own. I remember you sharing the best video collection that always had the latest movies, the fastest motorcyle ride of my life, and shooting a quarter at 100 yds on the range at the skeet club. I am thankful to you for your calming spirit graciously shared with my mother when Keith and I were up to our youthful shenanigans. I have enjoyed visiting with you over the years and listening to your hilarious stories. I will remember you as being truly successful and an inspiration. I look forward to the times to come that my family will spend with Kieth and Janel. He was always pleasant to be with and willing to help with shooting problems. I will miss him a lot. Alan McPherson (Lantana, TX ) November 14, 2006 I haven't seen Patt for years but I will always remember him fondly for many reasons. First, I remember how much he loved his children. Second, he'll be remembered for his courageous battle and the fact that he beat cancer for many years. This success not only enabled him to be there for his children to grow but also, the fact that he could come back and pass the physical and continue flying was a huge influence on all of us. Scott, Heidi and Megan Scott McDonald (Arlington, TX ) November 14, 2006 I will remember Patt fondly for years to come. He was a great role model and inspiration. I was a new private pilot in 1990 and 21 years old. I would hang out in Patt's home-office for hours and talk about his photography, flying and life. He had the best sense of humor and the greatest smile! Especially when he would tell you one of his funny flying stories and you would be laughing on the ground and crying. He'd keep a straight face, and then flash his smile... I know you will miss him dearly, but I hope you too have many wonderful memories of this great man! I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. My deepest sympathy for your loss.
