MILT ALTMARK 1964 - 1986 PILOT GSW MKC MCI DEN Whenever I came through OMA operations with Milt Altmark as the F/O, Milt and Leo Maldonado would launch into a loud good natured argument (or whatever) in Spanish. No one else had any idea what they were talking about but that's probably just as well. -Jack "Frosty" Frost (1/30/02) I think I got disinvited at FL Club. Been getting the site for about four years and would like to continue. With Central at the time of merger. -Milt Altmark Capt. FAL Sarasota, Fl. (1/27/05) Was reading about Ray Damato and was suprised that not much information was available about him. He was very close to Capt. Milt Altmark who stayed with him daily as he drew near death. -Ron Gallop (4/19/06) Just a heads up on Captain Milton Altmark; He's been struggling with pain etc. for the last 6 months or so but it appears to be getting the best of him. This morning we got a phone call from Shirley, his wife. Milt said that he can no longer deal with the pain. Therefor the family has decided to honor his wishes and move him to a hospice facility. Their two sons, Barry and Alan, are there in Sarasota FL with him and Shirley has been an RN for many years. So he's in good hands. I think that among other things he's been fighting Pancreatic (Cancer?) pain. I'll pass along whatever I hear. -Jack "Frosty" Frost (7/9/14) I regret to inform you that Milton Altmark flew west at about 11 pm last night, July 20, 2014, after a struggle with pain, etc. He was in Hospice Care for about 10 days. No services are planned until this fall. Attached is a picture of Milt in his uniform taken a few years ago. Shirley said she is putting an obituary in the KC Star in the next couple of days. His two sons were still there. He will be cremated and there will be a service at Collinsville OK sometime this fall when its cooler. Milt was a fine guy and a good pilot. We had many good times over the years. -Jack "Frosty" Frost (7/21/14) M J ALTMARK Pilot seniority date of 9/14/64 per the 9/1/85 FL/ALPA Seniority List. He is not on the 9/1/86 list. M J ALTMARK Shown as MKC/MCI CV580 first officer on the 5/71 thru 4/75 FL Pilot Domicile Lists. MCI CV580 captain on the 4/76 thru 3/79 domicile lists. DEN B737 captain thru the 5/85 domicile list.
