MIKE PRINCE 1970 - 1986 PROVISIONING AGENT, STATION AGENT, SENIOR STATION AGENT MKC DEN MARRIED TO F/A MARCIA LAWRENCE Any Frontier Airlines folks out there that would have some information on our retirement fund? My x husband Michael Prince and myself, Marcia Lawrence are looking for information on our retirement fund and 401K from the original Frontier Airlines THE BEST AIRLINE EVER. ANY INFORMATION would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much, -Marcia Lawrence (4/9/08) Hi Marcia, I worked with Mike in DEN as a Senior Agent 1984-86. How's he doing these days? What have yall been doing since FL? If Mike is M P Prince, he has some money coming from an ESOP lawsuit. Details are at our weblink below. He can phone 303-863-6258 to file a claim. I do not see your name on the list though. I believe the 401K plans were paid off a year or so after the bankruptcy. Mike's pension would be with ALEA which is managed by the Principle Insurance Co. Have him phone 1-800-944-8631 ext 57274 Vicki Prorock was the contact's name last time I checked. I've already drawn mine so the money is there. What were your positions at FL? Seems I remember you were a TCA then a FA. If so, check with Principle for your ALEA service. I don't have anything for FAs but can connect you with some senior FL FAs if that's what you were. Let me know what your service was. We also have a free online FL Club where lots of info is exchanged. Didn't I send you an invite a few years ago? We also have a FL newsletter - send your postal address (Mike's too) and I'll send yall a copy. Hope this helps out. Welcome back to the FLamily! -Jake Lamkins (4/9/08) Gosh, thanks so much for the speedy reply!!! Mike is doing well and had been in business for himself for about 13 years doing custom doors and windows. He lives here in Aurora and is crabby as ever! We have been divorced for about 15 years but keep in touch as we are devoted parents to our son Mason. He was born in August 1986 and if you do the math, he just hit 21 last year and is a medic/fire fighter. I was a TCA and then transferred to FA the last 2 years. GOD, that airline was the BEST and every time I fly now I can't help but think about the GOOD OLD DAYS and I know you hear that all the time huh? It truly was a glamorous job, excellent customer service and a kick in the ass job to boot. There will never be another one like it and still to this day, have the 737 aircraft model in my office. I think I did get an invite a while back but wasn't able to make it for some reason. Please be sure to put me and Mike on the list for any up-coming get together's OK? I will check out the website listed below and will give this to Mike when I see him. Anyway, Mike asked if I had any information regarding retirement and 401K and I didn't. However, I do remember he got a package of some-kind and I took the Continental job as a FA. So, Mike will be ecstatic to hear there maybe something for him when he turns 55 next year. Thanks again and we will keep in touch! Thank you! -Marcia Lawrence (4/9/08) FLacebook Robert Cash shared his first post on May 1, 2020. Found this not long ago. I worked with Mike as a SSA in DEN 1984-86. He had a black beard then. Jeff Nichols Sorry to hear about Mike's passing good friend worked with him in Den (5/2/20) Posted online at Mike's obituary and found 5/2/20: Matthew Klingensmith on October 28, 2016 at 8:43 pm My name is Matt Klingensmith from Aurora, CO. I married Stanley Puttmann’s youngest daughter, Karen Puttmann in 1975. I had known Mike prior to that from working at Aurora Trophies with my then boss, Stan Puttmann. I probably met Mike in 1970. I had the opportunity of working with Mike at the “original” Frontier Airlines from 1979 to 1986. I worked the ramp, and Mike was a ramp supervisor so we worked the same gates quite a lot over the 8 yrs–we had a blast!! Mike had a great smile and even a better sense of humor. When Mike would make a smart alec comment, while he was waiting for our replies, he had a way of making a certain smirk on his face by biting his lower lip while trying not to smile and when he couldn’t hold back any longer had the most awesome laugh!! We had several crazy experiences together including spending the 1982 Denver Christmas Blizzard with Mike at the Metro Inn and Bar where there were five of us stranded Frontier Agents, four plus the bar owner on Christmas eve and we spent the night in the bar until about 3 am and then slept in one of the Inn’s rooms. Mike and my family also took a trip to Houston, TX together in 1983 (June 2) for some open-heart surgery on myself. This trip was remembered as much for the crazy, drunken night Mike and I spent in the hotel swimming pool diving for Coors beer cans before my surgery the following a.m. I could go on and on for some awfully great times our families spent together–he will be greatly missed. But thanks to our Loving and Merciful Father God and His Son and our Lord Jesus Christ– we will all surely meet somewhere in the “sweet bye and bye”– right there on the other side just over there where the Bronco Blue and Orange sunsets hang out. Until then my brother, enjoy your newly rejuvenated and pain-free, young new body and life and swing for the greens. ;). Post your remembrances. -Jake Lamkins (5/8/20) Hal Fahrenbruch Was sorry to hear about Mike’s passing .... was a friend and drinkin buddy back in the day .... he bought my gold maxi van back in the 70s (I think). Though I didn’t take a lot of pix at FL in DEN .... I may have some shots from our croquet tournament days in Denver, Kansas City and Vancouver .... I’ll have to dig for em .... thankfully they’re saved on a hard drive .... let me see what I can find ..... RIP brother !!!! Ron Abfalter He was a good one for sure. Tipped a few and rode some scoots with em. I remember a softball game. Think it was agents vs flight attendants. Keith Bailey was there and Mike wanted him to throw a major league fastball to him. Keith let er rip and just about knocked Mike on his butt when he caught it. Lots of laughs at that one. Lynn Osadchuk Beautiful guy. So sorry for his family and friends’ loss. (5/8/20) Mark Fitzwater I remember Mike had a bit too much to drink and sided swiped a parked car. It was late and no one was around, so Mike thought it might be best to just drive home. The police were at his house early the next morning. He had left his front bumper with the license plate at the accident. He was unforgettable, RIP my friend. Ron Abfalter Never a dull moment with him. In a good way. (5/10/20)
