I was hired by Al Feldman in 1974 as director of corporate communications, 
subsequently promoted to vice president in 1978, following the GRI hijacking. 
Fortunately (for me), I resigned in 1983 to take a position with Lockheed. 
Working at FL -- and for Al -- was a highlight of my career. 
Many great memories. 
Bob Schulman, who passed away recently, was on my team, along with Mark Schumann, 
Mary Budke Swanson, Nancy Ecord Osmundson, and Jeanne Hanson. Good times!

I got a call today from Norma Schroeder who wanted to know if we knew that Mary had passed away..
I didn't and didn't see it on your list of Gone west.
Apparently she died on Feb. 3 2019 and celebration of life is next Saturday the 13th.
Norma is going to have Rita call me with an obituary (that they drafted) and a picture.
I will forward to you as soon as I get it - maybe tonight or tomorrow.
Mary worked for Larry Sills years ago -
and not sure where else she may have been but she and Norma were best friends.

but she is in the 1977 - 1983 books

Per the Nov 1984 Frontier Employees Roster.
Her employee number fits in the Jun 1973 hiring dates.
She is not on the Aug 1990 roster.
She is not on the Dec 1984 FL Pension Records either
so she must have left in the Nov to Dec 1984 period.
I checked for both Budke and Swanson.

Larry Sills left Frontier in Mar 1971 or so when Feldman took over.
He died later that year of a heart attack at age 39.
She is not on the Dec 1970 roster so Mary did not work for him.
I think they confused him with Larry Bishop.
Secretaries did not come under the contract until 1974
so there is no seniority list to check for her.
I'll show her starting in 1973 and leaving in 1984 for the time being

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Mary's death. 
She was a special friend and colleague at Frontier, 
and I will treasure the memory of her energy, sense of humor, and love of words. 
She made life so much more pleasant for everyone around her.

Cannot believe Mary is gone! 
I stayed with her & Bob in ORD one week when I was in training at EXO. 
Yes we did the hot tub thing as well!
