MARV LARSON 1967 - 1986 PILOT SLC DEN Jake, Can I assume you are related to Pete Lamkin? I had just learned of Patt McDonald's passing, yesterday, from Jim Burman, who I occasionally shoot trap with, here in Montana. Back in the latter '80s, early '90s, Patt, others, and I shared a "Crash Pad" in Elizabeth, N.J.; a very memorable, and pleasant experience of itself, notwithstanding the gruelling experience, of being domiciled in EWR, that most of us "Frontier types" bore up to. I regret that I am unable to attend services for Patt, although prayers are extended, even now. The last that I'd talked with anyone about FAL's ol' timers was with Ace Avakian while he was on a visit to Guam where I was domiciled with CO's Air-Mic. More, later. I'm sure. Regards, Marv(in) R. Larson Capt. FAL 7/5/'67 - 10/??/'86 Capt. CAL 11/??/'86 - 06/24/'01 Ret. e-mail: mr72757@3rivers.net PS: Not narcissism; e-mail address reflects my 1st two initials (M.R.) followed by the latter two airplane types flown/trained in. Snail mail: Marv Larson c/o PO Box 545 Augusta, Mont. 59410 (11/13/06) Hi Marv, Great hearing from you. No, I'm not related to Pete Lamkin. My name is spelled Lamkins. Are you related to the Marv Larson who was FL director-accounting? I'm sending you an invite to the free online FL Club with 645+ members. There's also a newsletter and I'll get one off to you tomorrow. Check out the FL websites at the link below. I'm gonna cc Jim Burman in on this so he can send me his postal address for a newsletter too. Best regards, -Jake Lamkins (11/13/06) Jake, No to the question, "Am I related to Marv Larson, the FL director-accounting? I have met the man several times while with FAL. We used to get each other's Co-Mat; sometimes, a little embarrasing, as I would not know what the h__k was being talked about, inter-departmental-wise. Know what I mean? And, the same with him when he would get Co-Mat intended for me. When we did meet, we would simply chuckle, and enjoy the ammusement. ["The word" would eventually get to it's proper place.] -Marv(in) R. Clements to Jake Lamkins Hi Jake, Do you remember Marv Larson from Montana? Do you know where he is, etc.. Have lost contact and would like to know. Also, Buck Hawk. My size is 7-1/8. Anyway, it's a good thought, and I really don't remember what became of mine. So, this could be the one I had, although I don't remember donating it to anyone/place. Knowing myself as I do, I truly think that it became lost in one my many household moves throughout my career. Then again, this is how it possibly could have "re-surfaced," too. Leo's style of wearing his cap was "scrunched," the WW2 Army Air Corps style, as I recall. This cap is too "new looking." Alas. I really don't know at this point. -Marv[in] R. Larson (5/9/14) Jake, Upon faint recall, during the fitting of our new uniforms, a shipment of caps came in. I faintly recall trying on a cap meant for me, and declining it because of improper fit. This could be the declined [reject] cap, since it doesn't really appear to have been used very much, if at all. However, new caps came without the brass, which could be transferred from one to another. This cap is complete. Brass could be acquired from almost any place; still, a slight mystery prevails. Cheers, -Marv Larson (5/9/14) Hi Marv, Great hearing from you and I hope you are well. Thanks for the input about the cap. We have a page at Facebook.com now. Just put Old Frontier Airlines in the Facebook search. There are about 650 FLolks signed up for it. All the FL newsletters I have put out are posted now at the FL website.
