She would have been 65 in 1983 so that's probably when she retired.

Need info on Mary Bradford and Margaret Allspach
Mary was a DEN accounting clerk whose death Apr 28 was reported
in the Jul/Aug 1975 ALEA magazine.
An obituary for Margaret Allspach was in the 11/1/06 DEN newspapers.
There was a secretary in the GO by this name.
Thanks for any info on these two ladies.

In going through "my stack" I found your letter from November of '06.
I had put this obit (ex Frontier mechanic) with your letter and never got the task done!
In your letter you asked about Margaret Allspach.
Yes she was one of our secretaries that got involuntarily displaced by manager changes and she did file a grievance.

I was at the grievance board for Margaret's case (about 1983) in which she got the secretary's position she had bid and been denied.
A younger and prettier secretary had been picked by the manager who apparently didn't know about seniority.
I recall vividly Margaret telling me softly "When I win this case, I'm going to the new job and tell that %$#@! manager I'm retiring."
To my knowledge, she did just that as she was nearing 65 years of age.
She was a delight the short time I knew her.
100% union and madder than hell about being mistreated.
ALEA got her some justice and I was proud to be her master chairman.
