Needless to say, this is a shock to all of us. Please pass this on to your group and I will let you know when hear anything. Hope all is well in your little corner of the world. -Shirley Drnovsek (8/22/13) What a tragedy! Thanks for letting me know. -Jake Lamkins (8/22/13) I got a call from Margie James in Fort Lupton, She is the wife of Richard James - FAL mechanic - asking about the Greeley newspaper article on Leone 'Lee' Gee being killed in a car accident. I have located the notice of the accident but not an obituary. However, at the picnic, Richard was there and he said he had heard that the husband William 'Bill' Gee had also died recently. I did locate his obituary and it's attached along with the accident notice on Lee. I understand from Mrs. James that both worked at FAL and met and married while at FAL. I didn't know either of them but wanted to pass along what I have. I had found that they had headstones at a Hillside Cemetery. I called the Cemetery and today they called me back and said that neither person is buried there, although they do have the headstones. -Carolyn Boller (8/26/13) I don't know how long Lee worked at FAL but I think she started out as an aircraft cleaner, then went to stock clerk and ended up in the upholstery shop. Don't know how long she was in each of these positions. Not a lot of information and we can't find anyone who really knows. I am in touch with her son-in-law and the church she and Bill attended and they are keeping me informed but as of this morning, no arrangements have been made. The family is looking at perhaps Sept. 7th at the same church in Ft. Lupton that they had for Bill. Again, it will not be a funeral or memorial but a "celebration" of her life. After, Bill's service, the ladies from church put on a nice luncheon for all the people (probably about 200 were there with a nice turnout of FAL retirees) and then we all went out in the parking lot a let loose balloons. So, they will probably do the same for Lee. -Shirley Drnovsek (8/27/13) FLacebook - FL Club Just got word that Lee Gee, widow of inspector Bill Gee, was killed in a car crash on Aug 21st. Bill died Jul 31st. They met at FL where Lee was an aircraft cleaner and stock clerk. No arranements known yet. Post any info you have on Lee. -Jake Lamkins (8/27/13) Leone 'Lee' Gee was a cleaner with FAL. I spoke with Richard James in Greeley who said he knew her as a cleaner from his days on line maintenance. -Carolyn Boller (8/27/13) Shown as Leone M Gee at backgroundfinder.com. Nothing else on web search. -Jake Lamkins (8/29/13) For your info. If we get any more info on where donations can be sent, or other stuff, I will send. ------------------------------------------------------------------ "GONE HOME CELEBRATION" FOR LEE GEE A tribute will be held on Saturday, September 7th at 2:00 p.m. at: Fourway Baptist Church 9961 County Line Road 41 Ft. Refreshments will follow the service. -Shirley Drnovsek (8/30/13) FLacebook and FL Club: DEN aircraft cleaner Lee Gee's memorial webpage has been posted. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Lee_Gee.html Still need an obituary and photo of Lee. Also need to know what years she worked at FL. -Jake Lamkins (8/30/13) If my faulty memory serves, Lee had two brothers that worked in STL when I was there: John and Danny Steward. Danny was killed in a motorcycle accident last year. -Bob Baxter (8/31/13) Thanks, Bob, for the info. I checked Danny's obituary and it lists Lee as his step-sister. -Jake Lamkins (8/31/13)
