I worked with a guy at the post office who was on the Yorktown when it was sunk at the Battle of Midway. He still works there fulltime as a janitor at age 82. They stripped nude. Fishing nude. Several boats fishing. They started waving for a boat to come to their boat. Thinking it was one of our boats. A boat did come over to them; it was a man and his wife fishing. He is also listed on the Aug 1990 roster. I cannot find him on any of the ALEA seniority lists. The Dec 1984 Pension Records show him in a non pay status, both as ALEA and as salaried. He may have left the company in 1985 or early 1986.
