Received my last check from FAL Through mergers & name changes wound up retiring from USAir after 37 years in 2004. John Green, & Ken Taylor were in my class at CEN, both of whom I saw in the early 90's when they were with CAL. Worked for Sam Terry in MKC,& Mark Burke in FTW. Enjoyed seeing pictures and names of many I had flown with and that I knew on your site. Unfortunately too many in the obituaries. Would enjoy reading more about a bygone era. I'd be honored if you would allow me in your FL online club. -John Murphy (12/19/07) PILOT AUTOGRAPHED 1982 Frontier Airlines First Flight for sale. On December 15, 1982, now OVER A QUARTER-OF-A-CENTURY AGO, Frontier Airlines inaugurated service to Columbus, Ohio on a flight from its hub in Denver. This features an envelope that was actually flown on the historic Frontier flight from Denver to Columbus. The envelope was postmarked in Denver on December 15, 1982. The envelope was flown on one of Frontier's Boeing 737-200 aircraft. The envelope was backstamped upon arrival in Columbus (a very legible backstamp). The US Postal Service participated in the events surrounding this inaugural by applying special rubber-stamped designs ONLY to those envelopes ACTUALLY FLOWN on the inaugural flight. The cover is listed as FL-D62Ef in the American Air Mail Catalogue. The best thing, however, about this envelope, is that it was autographed by the Frontier Captain, Kenneth Taylor, who flew that first Frontier flight! -Ebay.com (5/22/10) I received a text from Jim Klaue a couple days ago.
