KEN BENISH 1948 - 1982 AIRCRAFT MECHANIC DEN PHX I joined FL in 1957, we were at the Sahara Hotel till the reservations moved to Sky Harbor(Terminal 1) , our office was behind the original ticket counter. Our office and operations were the first one you saw as you entered from the North entrance by the outside baggage area. Jim Downs, Tom Puckett, Pete Couk, John Koehler, (Mechanics) Ken Benish, Bill Bailey,Al Garcia, Jack Hitchcock(to name a few), also Max Willis was a Sr. Agent, Ira Kemp,Vern Crawley and many more I can remember their names or how long they were there. Al Mosley was the director of Reservations and we had a great office in the back room. After a few years they remoted the Res. office to Denver, and because of having enough seniority, I was able to stay in PHX. Then I worked the ticket counter, we moved to the East Wing, and I remained on the counter and the last 5 years I was a STCA and Supervisor of the counter staff. Our last Manager was Sam Cales till we went under in 1986. -Ginger Treptow (7/27/06) KEN L. I met him when we were attending Opportunity School's A&P training in 1947. Jerry Francis and Red Fowler were classmates also. Ken was dating Marjorie who was taking nurse's training at a local hospital. The last time I saw him was on a field trip that took me through Phoenix and I got to spend some time with him. -Bob Baxter (12/14/12)
