KEITH TAYLOR 1955 - 19?? STATION AGENT, SATO AGENT, SATO MANAGER DUC FSI GOF Jake I was talking with Lewis Ahrens, he was a FL agent at FSI SATO. He told me Keith Taylor died on a golf course a while back. He will try to get the particulars to me. Keith was also a FL agent at FSI SATO when we were both in LAW. -Dick Lamon (11/16/00) Thanks, Dick. I'd had an unconfirmed rumor about Keith before. I think there are 2 folks by that name. Let me know what you find out. -Jake Lamkins (11/17/00) Full name Lester K Taylor in Keith_TaylorArt1965Oct article. Still can't pin down in SSDI. -Jake Lamkins (3/4/08) Saw the not in the latest news letter looking for information on Keith Taylor. Keith worked with me in Seattle as a Marketing Rep, and the last I heard from him he was Vice President of Revenue Management with South West Airlines in DFW. I have not heard from him in over 15 years, and felt really bad we had not continued to stay in contact. I tried his phone number with South West, but got a recording that the number was unassigned. I also tried his home phone number in Richardson, TX, but that number was no longer in service. Perhaps if you can research that area for obituaries?? I have no idea on how to do that without a date. Keith was a black-belt in judo and when he came to work he would put one foot on top of a 4 drawer filing cabinet and lean over his leg to do his stretching exercises, not something I could possibly attempt, especially now !! Let me know if you hear anything. -Red Barringer (4/15/08) The matter is complicated by the fact I found out that there were two Keith Taylors at FL. The one you knew as did I and a CN/FL agent in DUC and FSI whom I suspect is the deceased one. But still have not pinned it down. -Jake Lamkins (4/16/08) I phoned Lewis Ahrens trying to get some firm info on the death of Keith Taylor. Left message -Jake Lamkins (4/20/08) Lewis phoned back and we chatted awhile. He started as a LAWCN agent in 1961. In Nov 1966 he went to Ft. Sill, OK (FSI) JAMTO, later called SATO. Then he became SATO manager at Altus AFB, OK (LTS) in 1985 til his retirement in Dec 2000. He knew Keith Taylor who was a DUCCN agent and then FSI SATO agent. Keith left FSI and became the SATO manager at Goodfellow AFB, TX (GOF). He's not sure of dates but knows Keith died of a heart attack while playing golf or right afterwards. It may have been before the FL bankruptcy. Lewis didn't know anything about the other Keith Taylor at FL. Keith was Lester K. Taylor and he got his 10 year pin per an Oct 1965 CN Skywriter article. He was still in DUC at the time and had started in 1955. Still cannot find more info in the SSDI or by a web search. -Jake Lamkins (4/22/08)
