KEITH STURGEON 1965 - 1986 STATION AGENT, TICKET COUNTER AGENT, SENIOR TICKET COUNTER AGENT FSM DEN My name is Bob Washburn. I started with Central in AMA in 1960, worked there for a couple of years then transferred to LIT and was there for about 20 years. When FL pulled out of LIT I went to DEN and worked in the freight house until they went out of business. I remember Ronnie Rogers and Keith Sturgeon as I lived with them in DEN. -Bob Washburn (1/9/06) Hi Bob, Great hearing from you and I appreciate your support. I saw Keith Sturgeon last summer at the FYV-FSM FL Reunion. He was looking good and runs a pawnshop in FSM. Ron Rogers died of cancer May 12, 1998 at age 56. It was a tragedy. Try to come to our reunion this summer. Jack Chambers usually comes and a few years ago Dave Sledge & Buddy Griffin came. -Jake Lamkins (1/10/06) FLacebook Keith was 74 years old today. Statistics have proven that those with more birthdays live longer. -Jake Lamkins (5/18/13) FLacebook Keith is 76 today. -Jake Lamkins (5/18/15) The 17 years I worked at FSM were really good. We knew all positions, TC, ops and ramp. The 4 years in DEN the agents were more specialized and really really good at their jobs. I liked working in DEN first as a TCA with 17 years seniority and ending up as a Senior TCA. Great times. -Keith Sturgeon (5/17/16) FLacebook Keith is 77 today. -Jake Lamkins (5/18/16) Seventeen years at FSM. Got RIFed in early 82. Went to DEN in July as a temp CSR for 2 months. Got a perm TCA slot and what a ride. So many stories, such good times. Sure did miss it. -Keith Sturgeon (1/11/17) Keith Sturgeon FLacebook post on Aug 24, 2019 re 33 years bankruptcy. My wife and daughter had flown in for the weekend. I went in at 6 and was not allowed to go to my locker which had some personal belongings. I was senior tca and did scheduling for the tca's. I was not allowed into my office. After much debating with the SOB, He let me in to get my glasses. I left and told my wife at the Ramada to get her stuff together, went to my appartment and got my belongings, picked them up and hit the road back to Fort Smith. Sad day. FLacebook on 2/5/21 Keith Sturgeon Well, I finally had the ultra sound on my kidneys. The results were not as good as I had hoped, however not as bad as they could have been. We will wait a while and have another test in a few months. Prayers are appreciated. Both of my kidneys are very small. I have a small tumor on one of them and it is in a spot where surgery is not an option. If the kidney has to be removed I would have to be on dialysis. Not looking forward to that. Paul Farris I am sorry to hear this Keith! Maybe the next test will show improvements. (2/5/21) Jake Lamkins Hope things get better, Keith. (2/6/21) FLacebook Keith Sturgeon After four nights at Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, I was allowed to go home. YEA. I was initially admitted with extreme kidney failure. Thanks for the prayers.
