Jake Lamkins (10/27/06) Hi, my name is Rhonda Stielow, I started working for Frontier June 19, 1977. Right out of high school. I was a cleaner at MCI . Than in 1983 was bumped to heavy check in DEN. At the end I bid the line. Where I was till they closed the doors in Aug1986 -Rhonda Stielow (10/8/18) Are you related to Keith Stielow? -Jake Lamkins (10/9/18) Yes, he's my Dad, started with Central then it was Frontier til the very end. Do you know him? I worked for the old Frontier 6/19/77 at MCI as a line cleaner. Got furloughed in 1983, went to heavy check in DEN then I bid the line, worked at Frontier as line cleaner till they shut the doors. Wow, never forget that I was on my first day off. -Rhonda Stielow (10/9/18) I didn't know him personally but heard his name over the years. I started with Central in Aug 1964 in FYV. How is your dad? Here's an article that mentions him. -Jake Lamkins (10/10/18) He's doing pretty good for being 82. We just lost Mom Sept 7th from cancer. They just couldn't kill it. I think it was the most terrible time in my life. Yea I know it's the cycle of life but, I'm still in the pissed off stage. Daddy in 2010 had sinus cancer, it came back 3 times before they got it. They ended up removing his eye - they made the hole so big. No fake eye for him. Right now I'm working on getting him home health care. My brother and his wife are staying with him till I get all this assessment with their long term health care worked out. I think he still misses Mom a lot. He's doing good, I think. He just wants to stay in his house. So that's my new project LOL. After he got out of the airlines he started his own business in 1995 at MCI . We named it CAM (Contract Aircraft Maintenance) - we do GSE and deicing in the winter. So his work life has done well. Now personal life - wish we could make him happier! So there is my book on daddy. -Rhonda Stielow (10/09/18) I'm sorry to hear life has been so tough for yall lately. I live in a retirment apartment complex where health issues and death abound. And I handle news about the deaths in the FLamily. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Obituaries.html All of which make me very aware of my mortality and to value each day as a gift. May I share your info with the FLamily? -Jake Lamkins (10/10/18) Hey Jake, Yes, you can share my story. I'm sure others have it a lot worse. Look for the bright side - gonna find it. I know the Frontier family keeps getting smaller. I didn't realize so many passed so young. I worked with Brad Shackleford in DEN. He was full of everything, if you know what I mean. He was a hoot. -Rhonda Stielow (10/23/18) FLacebook re Keith Rhonda Stielow He's hanging in there. Dad still at home with 24/7 care. They want to change that to 8 hrs a day. Will have to get on the phone with them Monday - give them the correct facts and argue w/them. No way he can be left alone. Don't know whose head is where on that one. Guess I'll have to let them know! We've started him in PT to get him moving and give him more strength. He's lost so much. Still trying all sorts of homeopathic remedies I can find to help with the pain. I'll find that perfect one I'm hoping soon. Not giving up as long as he's up for it. You should call - he'd love hearing from you (9/9/19) K STIELOW M DOB 1/31/36 DOH 10/23/61 Per the Dec 1984 Frontier Management Pension Records. -Jake Lamkins (9/9/19) Jake Lamkins Found this during a google search: John Keith Stielow Obituary ...passed away on February 20, 2023.
