I wanted to reach out to her Facebook friends individually to let them know that she passed away Friday in her bed. Her health was declining and she really needed to move to a nursing home but wouldn't hear of it. I believe she decided to move on to greener pastures before that happened against her will and I'm happy for her that she's no longer in physical discomfort. I believe she was met on the other side by loved ones, including her beloved dogs Ahmed and Mac, and her kitties Polly and Malieka. Dealing with the logistics at this point, and restrictions due to COVID-19, we will not be hosting a memorial before spring, at the earliest. I'll be in touch again with details if/when that takes place. We're unable to access her contacts on her phone or iPad as they're locked, so I'm reaching out to her FB friends. However, if you know of any mutual friends that are not on FB, please let them know. Thank you! Steve Gustafson Very sorry to hear of her passing. I always enjoyed working around her. Darlene Brown So sad....Kay was always a great person to be around. She always had a sunny disposition.... that's probably why "Sunny" Temp's hired her after Frontier closed. RIP Kay. Joy Trudeau Kay helped me get some work when she was at Sunny Temp after the shut-down at FAL. Was a very nice and helpful person. Prayers for her family. Deb Berkey Awww so sad; thanks for updating us and prayers for her family and friends. Marvin Floyd Kay was very nice. She will be missed. (10/28/20) Jake Lamkins Teresa, Thank you for the info about Kay. I knew her back in the 1970s - 1980s when we worked at the old Frontier Airlines. Carolyn Boller, who knew her better than me, has already gotten the word out to her old Frontier friends. I will be building a memorial webpage for her to be posted on our website. I'll text you when it's ready. Send me her obituary when it's available so I can include it. Any favorite pix would be good too. My condolences to you and her family. She was a terrific person. Teresa Aziam That's really nice of you to do the webpage. I have a ton of photos from her house but haven't even brought them home yet. I'm happy to get a few to you when I can! Love that you knew her from Frontier. She had such fond memories of those days. I'll keep in touch when we know what we're doing about an obituary and/or a memorial. (10/29/20) Teresa Aziam I'm not sure who will be writing an obit, or when. I'll be sure to send it to you as soon as I receive a copy. (10/30/20) Teresa Aziam Hi Jake! Bet you've seen these of Kay and Carolyn Boller. This was when Frontier helped bring over orphaned babies from Vietnam. Jake Lamkins THANK YOU, Teresa. I have never seen the actual photos here, just the grainy newsletter articles & pix. Great stuff. (11/4/20) Mayzelle Ewbank Yantis Very sad to read this. (11/16/20) Hello Jake, Here's a rather unofficial Obit for Kay. Thank you for doing this. Frontier was a very significant part of her life. -Marilyn Davidson & Linda Morey (11/19/20) Thank you so much. I've posted it at her memorial webpage: http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Kay_Morey.html I knew Kay at Frontier through our union work. She was a fine person and I loved her cheerful nature. -Jake Lamkins (11/19/20) I am a cousin of Kay's on her father's side. I lived in Denver until 1974, when my family (of marriage) moved east. As long as my parents were living, we traveled to Colorado yearly and I saw Kay on those trips and on the few later ones. After that, she and I kept in touch by phone, email, and Facebook Messenger (her eventual favorite). In all our conversations, Kay so often talked about working at Frontier, the friends she made there, and how much she enjoyed the many gatherings of those friends through the years. I was always touched and impressed by the strength of her Frontier connections, and how supportive the group members were/are of each other. I hope you will share this with the others - as someone who loved Kay very much, I was and continue to be grateful for the place that her Frontier friendships held in her life, and I wanted to let you all know that. May all be well with all of you. -Karen Morey Kennedy (1/10/21)
