I was leafing through the Obituary page today and although I can't supply 
any specific date info, on many of the pilot's listed there is no info at all. 
My memory is far from perfect but
I thought I'd pass along what I remember about some of these guys. 
John Scrivner: I believe John was killed in a light airplane accident not too long after the merger. 
He had a great sense of humor and was a valuable asset in the ALPA work he did.

John was a great chess player.  I do not remember winning once playing
with him.  He was killed going up in a Mooney with a friend.  This
surprised many of us as John didn't care much for light aircraft and
usually declined this type of flying.  He sure was a pleasant fellow to
be around.  He got me started in saving and investing the top 10% of
everything I earned.  Before that, I thought all that could be taken care of later."

I found the attached photo in my file dated 1966 CN ALPA.
I ID it as ?, Leonard Pratt, ?, Ken Coggeshall and you.
Do you recall the other two?
Was this the MEC or the negotiating committee and is 1966 right?

This picture was taken at the 1966 ALPA Board of Directors Meeting (Convention). 
I think Phil and I are the only ones left and I seem to remember hearing that Phil was pretty feeble.

I remember John Scrivner because he would tie a rope to the cockpit door knob to keep it closed! 
Such memories!

He died in a private aircraft crash in Feb 1977 age 44.
