DEN -Joe Crider (1/20/12) FLacebook Whenever Ace Avakian met lead mechanic John Brennan on arrival at the gate, John would ask Ace how the airplane was. Of course, this took place while there were a few stragglers still departing the aircraft. Ace would always say, and this happened regularly, "The airplane is fine but I still am having a problem with the scorgening of the florstoris valve. Naturally some of the passengers hearing this remark gave that "Look". Just a fabricated curious remark but it lightened up the day. Ace is quite a character. Great person. Now you know. -Stu Hammersmark (5/6/13) I just found out that John died this morning. He was a Line Maintenance Lead Mechanic. Great guy! My coveralls were always dirtier than all of those lead men's were. -Jack McLaughlin (11/24/13) John was a great guy! -Joe Crider (11/24/13) John was one of my favorite Lead Mechanics. He always kept us laughing with his dry sense of humor. I can remember when the hanger doors where broken for weeks and John putting a note on the door "OK to fix". John always treated me with a great deal of respect. -Don White (11/25/13) Photo of John from 1967 reprinted with permission from the book FROM THE COCKPIT TO THE GALLEY by Bonnie C. McNeill. -Jake Lamkins (11/26/13) Posted at FLacebook and FL Club: DEN lead aircraft mechanic John Brennan's memorial webpage is posted. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/John_Brennan.html John is our second oldest employee to fly west. There must be something healthy in oil, grease and skydrol. Of our ten oldest employees flown west, seven are from maintenance. -Jake Lamkins (11/28/13) John had to be one of everybody’s favorite that worked on Line Service. Good to all. He lived so long because nothing ever bothered him. John always wanted to sell you a barber chair. -Frank Black (11/29/13) I am having a problem keeping dry eyes. Just happened to find the item. I always admired John cause he looked out for his mechanics. He always kept a good sense of humor but there were exceptions and that led to a destruct test of the handset of the personal radios that leads were required to use. May I extend my most sincere expression of sympathy. God Bless and save me a place up Stairs, John. -Stu Hammersmark (11/29/13)
