JOHN BRAMLEY 1981 - 1986 FLIGHT ATTENDANT DEN I am deeply sorry to, once again, pass along sad news about another one of our flight attendant friends in DEN. John was a flight attendant at the original FAL just senior to me back in 1980. Very sweet guy. Will be sadly missed. From Jane Haggart In Memory: John Bramley The family of John Bramley, Frontier flight attendant since 1995, has shared the sad news of his passing. They tell us that John’s body was found at the base of Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park, one of his favorite places. Please keep John’s family and friends, including his three daughters, Rebecca, Stacey and Stephanie, in your thoughts during this difficult time. Services will be held at Greenwood Community Church (5600 E Belleview Dr, Greenwood Village, CO 80111) on Thursday, Sept. 17, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the college funds for John’s three daughters under the John Bramley Memorial Fund c/o FirstBank of Arapahoe County. -JoDelle Davidson Burwell (9/14/09) I'm sad to hear about John. I had John as a flight attendant on one of my business trips about a year ago. I stayed on the plane after everyone had deplaned and had about a 20 minute chat with him to catch up. I'm glad I did. He was so proud of his girls and felt good about Frontier surviving their financial trouble. It was so good to see him. -Mary Ann Fowler Henderson (9/14/09) J A BRAMLEY Flight attendant seniority date of 6/30/81 on the 2/1/86 FL/AFA seniority list. -Jake Lamkins (9/14/09) This is so heartbreaking..again another beautiful soul moves on. John and I went waaay back. He and I became friends in mountineering club at Thomas Jefferson H.S in Denver. We reunited when we ran into each other in the crew room in Denver. He really was such a kind hearted guy. My heart goes out to his family and friends. Peace on John, -Cindy Hady (9/15/09) Another former Frontier Flight Attendant has passed away. John A. Bramley passed away earlier this week on a climb on Long's Peak in Colorado. His obituary is in the Denver Post He was a delightful man with a joyous smile and a very accomplished long distance runner at Colorado State University. I remember that his first-born daughter was born on the very same day that the Original Frontier went bankrupt! -Nina Abbott (9/18/09) I didn't know John but he was on my mind as I ascended Long's Peak. I was one of only a few who witnessed John's body being lifted and flown from the snowfield on 9/11. I believe John's spirit was with me and 3 other friends while we climbed. -Lou Blanchard (9/24/09) For those who have bought a copy of Greg Stearn's Frontier book Page 205, second from left is Flight Attendant John Bramley. John died in Sept. 2009 while climbing Long's Peak. He was 55 and a senior Flight Attendant at the "new" Frontier. -Vicky Veldboon (7/1/12) I remember reading about John Bramley's death. What a tragic shocker. -Sarah Bara (7/1/12) John got me on the New Frontier F/A jump seat out of MSP in 1999. Super guy and I flew with him at the Old FAL. His death was a very unfortunate tragedy, a fall while he was climbing. Something he loved and enjoyed very much. -Vicky Veldboon (7/4/12) I knew John well. Worked with him at Old Frontier. Very sad about his accident. He was a very kind and outgoing guy. -Marcia Glasrud Crump (7/4/12) Tragic ! Super guy to be around. -Ed Woodson (7/5/12) Re photo: F/O John Jason is on the left. (We retired at UPS.) Captain Bill McCaffrey has four stripes on his sleeve. I didn't know Doug very well, until UPS. He wasn't a pilot for UPS, but had a contract with them for a scheduling program. -Al Beardsley (7/4/12) Thanks for the correction. I wondered about the stripes but they were ID'd that way in Stearns' book. -Jake Lamkins (7/5/12) WOW! Good looking crew!! -Judi Fenton Plumer (7/5/12) Sad, but good to see the picture and memories. -Lana Kelley (7/5/12) John Bramley was happy in his last years, I saw him quite often. He was always fun to have on a flight. I specifically recall a sunset shared with John over food and drink on the rooftop terrace of the Ramada Gas Lamp in San Diego. As we watched the lights come up on Downtown and the harbor with airplanes approaching Lindberg in the background we talked of life and it's important moments. John was quirky to say the least but all who spent time with him grew to enjoy it immensely. He was famous for his apron that hid a fully developed modeled set of male genitalia including hair below a flap that he would expose to unsuspecting crew members. He got me one day as I made my pre-departure announcements from the head of the aisle looking aft down its length at John in the rear galley. Suffice to say his "reveal" left me standing slack jawed as I searched for words. No one on the airplane but I had been witness to it. The day he passed 9-11-09 his nephew Paulino and I flew a turn to SEA. Paulino had told me that John was missing on "his mountain". As we descended into DEN just East of Longs peak I couldn't help but feel we were saying goodbye even though his body had yet to be found :( I feel John and these "others" still walk among us. His best friend Greg left our sequence a few days later to attend John's memorial service. I remained on the trip but felt the need to recognize our loss the morning of the service. Prior to boarding I played Carol Woods version of "Let It Be" from the Beatles musical Across the Universe on the PA for the crew for John. Later that day I spoke with my wife on the phone who had attended the memorial and asked how it was. She said very sad but it was nice and they played some of John's favorite music. One of the songs was......... Let It Be. Yep, our departed friends and family live on as long as they continue to inspire us. -Steven Graham (11/28/16)
