He started with Frontier in January 1973 in Emily's class. Before John became a pilot with Frontier he was an officer with the Denver Police. John was well liked by all Frontiers folks, great pilot and lots of fun. His dear friend and love was Ellen Quinn, they dated for approximately 30 years. They were married for a short time in 1983. I asked Ellen what went wrong and she said "Everything". So they got along better not married. John was in the US Army for 3 years in the 1960s. He has a sister named Eleanor Jung, age 81, who lives in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. He had a good friend from the army, Dr Lynn Antaris, who called Ellen about a year ago to tell Ellen that John had been sick. Ellen and John separated in about 2001 when John decided to move to Tennessee. This information was reported to me by Ellen Quinn. If I run across any photos I will send later. -Bonnie Dahl (5/7/14) 2 photos of John Andrews, courtesy Ellen Quinn. 1. Capt John Andrews, Boeing 737, 1984 2. Once in a while you would look and think to yourself, This is going to be a great trip. That's how we all felt about John. Calm winds Capt. Andrews -Martie Palser (5/15/14) I got a autograph for him from President Jimmy Carter, and one for husband Don, then Pres. Carter wanted to know if my husband Don knew about John.
