JOE DESMIT 1968 - 1986 STATION AGENT DEN DAL DFW Jake, Last Friday I went into my garage and began opening boxes that have collecting dust for decades. Most of the Frontier items I found haven't been viewed or looked at since the 80's. Example is the attached letter from September 1982. OKC was shut down due to thunderstorms so the DFW station had several diverted flights. FL/DFW at the time was ground handling all ML (Midway) RC (Republic) and TWA operations. It was a very interesting evening. The TWA 707 aircraft had to be fueled with an engine running since there was no APU/GPU available at DFW for the 707 equipment. We were able to push back the 707 using the available TWA ground equipment. I can't believe the letter made it this far. After DFW I moved to DTW. Do you recall many of the DFW staff listed in the letter? -Mike Gordon (6/10/13) Joe DeSmit contacted me today about the reunion and he asked about you- I told him there is a facebook/website etc and that you do a quarterly magazine- he didn't know about it. -Carolyn Boller (5/16/16) Thanks for letting me know, Carolyn. -Jake Lamkins (5/15/16) Hi Joe, Carolyn Boller emailed your eddress. How ya doing? Here's a Sep 1977 item from my FLiles. Let me know if you're interested in re-connecting with the FLamily. -Jake Lamkins (5/15/16) Re: Frontier Airlines Pls send me your phone number. I called back but he was out and he called again last night at 7:30 pm. We chatted about 10 minutes. He wanted to buy all the back issues of the Frontier newsletter. I told him to save his money and look at them on the website where they were free, in color and much better quality. He agreed then asked if I had rosters for LAS MKC and DEN. I told him I had nothing on MKC or LAS but the DEN roster was also posted at the website. -Jake Lamkins (7/28/16) Joe DeSmit phoned wanting to contact John Skibinski. I told him I would text John at Facebook. Hey John, Joe DeSmit is trying to contact you. He said he worked with you in LAS. You can phone him at 972-294-2553. Hope your're well. Jake Lamkins (11/15/16) Joe phoned 4 times in as many minutes. Only one voice mail was understandable. He wanted to send money for the FL NEWS. I checked his subscription and he's good til Apr 2019. I phoned and told him and also mentioned the expiration date is on the mailing label. He said he's fine and wished me happy new year. -Jake Lamkins (12/29/17) I think I remember this and thought I had deleted...did you know of his death?
