JOE CROWDER 1968 - 1986 AIRCRAFT MECHANIC DEN We saw the obituary of Joe Crowder in the Boulder Camera on Monday or Tuesday’s paper. His funeral was Wednesday in Longmont. It said he was in the Instrument Shop at Frontier. Joe doesn't remember he was there, but it must be the same Joe Crowder. You probably already know. -Pat Craze (5/18/01) Re: Joe Crowder Hi Joe and Pat, I have talked to King Herrington, and he verified the info that Joe Crowder was in the instrument shop. I didn't know him either. King will let let the others that worked in the shop know also. Thanks for passing the info on to me, since his obit did not get in the Denver papers. -Ken Schultz (5/18/01) I just sent a note to Ken Schultz that Joe Crowder died in Longmont this week. It said he was in the instrument shop at Frontier, but Joe doesn't remember that he was up there. But it must have been the same Joe Crowder. We couldn't cut the article out, sorry. -Pat Craze (5/18/01) I remember Joe very well, worked with him in the Denver Instrument shop for a year back in mid 70s. A wiry old coot who took no guff from no man, and a hellava a good mechanic he was. He usually worked altimeters and gyro's, the instruments nobody else wanted to fix. As I recall he even commuted from the Longmont area back then. Every Frontier pilot most likely never knew him, but flew and trusted his instruments daily. -Jim Taylor (5/21/01) JOE R CROWDER Died May 12, 2001, age 76, at Boulder, CO DEN instrument shop tech DOB Apr 20, 1925 DOH Apr 22. 1968 per Ken Schultz 4/11/09 We Remember database.
