During the mailing for the Reunion - I got a return letter for Frances Joan McMullen. 
We knew her as Joan McMullen.  So I went looking for her - used the address that I last had for her 
and ended up calling the apartment complex she lives in and 
I got a call on Monday from the manager of the apartment complex that Joan lived in.  
The Manager said that Joan passed away in 2018 or 2019 -
she was not sure of the date but knew it was before COVID.  
Joan had dementia and had fallen in her apartment, was taken to the hospital where she died.  
The State came in and cleaned out her apartment.  
The manager said she does not think that Joan had any family, no obituary published 
and no will that she was aware of - which is why the State came in and she didn't know where Joan was buried.
Joan worked in Denver Res - listed in the 1970 personnel file as F.J. McMullen.
DOB is 2/13/1939 and DOH is 8/16/65.
I will look for a picture but I doubt I have any - maybe someone does when you publish this.
Kathey Petty is determined to find the date of death - so there may be more info coming if she is successful.

Steak Winner!

Joan McMullen, DEN - reservations, is about to chow down on one of a year's supply 
of steaks she won in the Continental Airlines Great Stakes Contest. 
Offering Joan the steak is Ted Forward, Continental's Manager of Passenger Sales.
Joan also won an Amana freezer to keep her steaks in. 
She was asked what she felt like winning all that meat and she explained, 
"After a year, I'll either be too spoiled to eat anything else but steak 
or I'll never want to see another steak again."

I tracked down info based on the address I had for her.
the apartment manager knew her and said that as far as she knows there is no family, no obituary, no services. 
She had dementia and had fallen, died in a hospital and the state came in and cleaned out her apartment. Sad.
