Just received an e-mail from one of my SWA Captain buddies who knew Jimmy well. 
He passed away on Monday (29th) and was buried Wednesday (1st). 
I have no other info at this time. Another good friend gone. 
Where ever Jimmy is tonight you can be assured they are having a great time.

Jimmie was another who was somewhat of an aviation legend before he came to CEN. 
The leaves are falling and the westbound ATC corridors are becoming congested.

I'm trying to get some more info on Jimmy Maris.  
No one at FAL/CN was notified about his death.  
I found out through a friend who flys for SWA.
All I know at this time is what I sent you and have since heard it was a heart attack.  
I'll send more when I can get it.
I do know he hired on as a DC-3 First Officer in the summer of 1964.  
Not sure if he made it to August '86 or not.  
He was living in the Plano area of North Dallas.
More when I can get it.

I found a 1986 address list and at that time he was living in Garland TX. 
He hired on at CEN in June of 1964. That's all I can come up with. 
I checked the Dallas Morning News Obits section 
but they only had today's and last Sunday's available so that was no help. 
I tried to open the Archives section but didn't have any luck. 
Might try again tomorrow.
