Later he was the Check Pilot when I got my IOE time checking out on the 737. We spent hours as cohorts in ALPA work and later as adversaries when he went up the steps in management at Frontier. We remained good friends throughout all those years. Jim was always the gentleman and was an excellent pilot. His honesty, fairness and integrity was never in question. He will be missed by all.
