JERRY BALFANZ 1959 - 1986 PILOT DEN The 14th annual "Original Frontier Airlines" Golf Tournament was held on Friday June 19, 2009 and was a huge success. We had a total of 50 golfers consisting of former Frontier employees, family members, and friends. He had a stroke in November, spent time in rehab, quit smoking. He looks great, but he can't drive any more. Also listed on the Sep 1986 seniority list. -Jake Lamkins (1/20/17) He signed his name Jerry on the 1963 jr pilot's certificate so I will use that spelling. -Jake (1/18/18) Janet Avakian phoned to tell me that Jerry's sister called her to say Jerry flew west Jul 11, 2018. The daughter said there would be a private ceremony at Ft. One time in TUS, we were on a mechanical (I think) anyway hanging around in ops, joking and I don't remember it all but I shoved him behind a big pop machine and it took 2 guys to move it to get him out!
