The 14th annual "Original Frontier Airlines" Golf Tournament was held on Friday June 19, 2009 and was a huge success.  
We had a total of 50 golfers consisting of former Frontier employees, family members, and friends.

Saw Jerry Balfanz for 1st time at FARPA meeting on Tuesday.  
He had a stroke in November, spent time in rehab, quit smoking. 
He looks great, but he can't drive any more.

Janet Avakian phoned to tell me that Jerry's sister called her to say Jerry flew west Jul 11, 2018.
The daughter said there would be a private ceremony at Ft. Logan.

Made an engine out landing w Jerry in LAS (due to a fire warning) w 147 pax on a MD-80. 
Great guy to work with and flew the plane like magic that day. 
Only time we ever flew. Neat Guy Jerry.

I had more fun flying with Jerry! 
One time in TUS, we were on a mechanical (I think) anyway hanging around in ops, 
joking and I don't remember it all but I shoved him behind a big pop machine 
and it took 2 guys to move it to get him out! 
I know we laughed about it, at the time!
