As you can imagine, his two boys were/are extremely proud of him and his profession - apparently, he worked with the greatest people in the world! Thank you all, -Noah Mackenroth (Jed's son) (8/10/00) Good hearing from you, Noah. Take a look at your dad's page on our Obituary website. You'll see we have a poor photo and would like to have a better one. Maybe you could scan one & send to me. We would also like to have anything else you want to add to Jed's page; funny stories, biographical info, etc. Hope to hear from you again. -Jake Lamkins (8/10/00) I am sorry for the delay; here is a better photo of Jed Mackenroth for your obituaries page. Please feel free to alter it as necessary. If I come up with anything else (stories, etc.)I will be sure to forward it to you. It was wonderful to see anything at all; thank you for your excellent work. -Noah Mackenroth (11/1/00) Noah, I got Jed's page updated today. The photo you sent looks great! Hope you like it. -Jake Lamkins (11/6/00) Jake: Actually, it was most delightful to find what you had done for him before I contacted you - including the other photo! This one is obviously more appropriate, though. It looks absolutely fabulous, as does the entire site. It's quality is well in keeping with the "Frontier Spirit!" Thanks for a job well done. -Noah Mackenroth (11/6/00) J B MACKENROTH BIL co-pilot DOB 7/31/32 DOH 2/17/58 per the Feb 1960 FL Roster. Even 20 years later, people still remember what a fascinating person he was. Thank you. -Joshua Mackenroth (6/17/16) Parking Capt. Jed always added a little excitement to what was otherwise a normal procedure. He reversed props on me parking at CPR with 3" loose snow on the ramp. Great laugh was had by all. Miss the day. -Robert Tucker (8/8/20) Jed came taxiing to the ramp going about forty in a 737 and there was ice on the ramp. The aircraft started sliding towards the terminal and he hit the reverses and got out of it,and of course he was the first one off the aircraft as usual. -Bruce Osborne (8/9/20) If anyone could make up time on a late flight, it was Jed! He’d come roaring in making a turn to the parking spot and the nose gear tires looked like they were gonna roll off the rims. (8/9/20) Very grand headstone! A great tribute for a great guy! -Lynn Osadchuk (8/9/20) Bruce Osborne FLacebook on 2/15/22 I’m not sure what year it was, but Mackenroth was flying and had left CYS, he was airborne about ten minutes when we started getting radio calls from a bunch of airlines, the ILS had broke in DEN and every airline had to divert, we ended up with over twenty flights and of course they all needed fuel. GJT, COS were also overrun, but somehow Mac made it into DEN on time. Jake Lamkins Love his tombstone! http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Jed_Mackenroth.html Sharon Trumble What a great guy. Kevin Porreco Jed and I stayed in contact up until his death. Very sad. He was one heck of a great guy. (2/15/22) Fred Watson R.I.P. CAPTAIN Darrell Robson He would almost roll the nose gear tires off the rims when he taxied in at high speed! He’d then come off the aircraft grinning from ear to ear. He was noted for making up time on a flight that was running behind schedule. Ron Herring Wow, what a gravestone.. (2/16/22)
