I don't think I have met a more humble, kind person in my life. His hi-jacking affected him for the rest of his life. -John Mooney (Al's son) (7/22/11) Attached are two items about the GRI hi-jacking. -Jake Lamkins (7/22/11) I came across this email address this evening. I am sorry to have to tell you that my father Capt. E Jay Curtis passed away Friday, September 23. He was 91 years old. He flew for Frontier from 1950 to 1980. -Cathleen Curtis Martin (9/26/11) I am so sorry to hear that. Your father supported my efforts with the Frontier newsletter for many years. The Fall issue has gone to the printers but I will have his obituary in the January issue and will build a memorial webpage for him. I'll email the URL when it's finished. I am also getting the word out to his Frontier friends. My condolences and sympathy, -Jake Lamkins (9/27/11) I am so sorry to hear about your Father. I was a stewardess with Frontier from 1962 to 1986. I flew a lot with your Father and really enjoyed flights when he was the Captain. I had his phone number and address at nursing home and Ellen Quinn, Patty O'Neill and I had been planning on visiting him for past couple years and we never made it and I am so sorry. He was a great guy.
