He was in the Hospital and was going to have some surgery to repair or replace valves. While there he got double pneumonia and was placed on life support..... life support was removed Friday and he was gone in 15 minutes. I guess he had had a small stroke which he never told his wife Sara or Dr. Kenny will let me know about services when he hears. -Connie McAlister (11/11/13) Thanks for the info, Connie. I'm letting the FLamily know. -Jake Lamkins (11/11/13) A long time FAL employee and a dear friend to many ,Jack Latta has gone west. His obituary can be viewed at the following link. www.legacy.com/obituaries/kingwood Jack was a dear friend and will be missed by all who knew him. -Walt Vanderpool (11/12/13) Thanks for the obituary and for letting me know. I worked with Jack in DEN 1984-86. -Jake Lamkins (11/12/13) We've had another FLriend fly west, Jack Latta. The attached obituary doesn't really say much except for dates of birth and death. I worked with Jack for many years at GJT. He was definitely one of the good ones. His wife, Sarah, and two daughters, Jackie and Janice, live in the Houston, TX area. His son, Chuck, who works for US Air, and his other daughter, Dana, live in Denver. I think Jack started out with FAL in Nebraska, but I'm not sure. I know he went to Denver in the mid 1980's, when we had a RIF at GJT. I'll try to find some more info for you and pass it on. -Jim Wilds (11/12/13) Posted at FLacebook and the FL Club: GJT DEN senior station agent Jack Latta's memorial webpage has been posted. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Jack_Latta.html -Jake Lamkins (11/15/13) FLacebook postings: Larry Witters Anybody know what happened to Jack Latta?
