JACK FELLOWS 1966 - 1982 PILOT DEN Voicemail from pilot Bob Lane about his newsletter sub & COA so I called him back and we chatted awhile. He goes by Bob rather than Robert so I changed his name accordingly. I got his COA doublechecked and he is 91 years old. He retired medical Jun 20, 1986 after being on sick leave from an open heart operation in 1985. He had another heart operation n 1992 but is doing well. DEN was his only station. He sounded good - not 91 years old. Been on pension since 1986 with no problems or reductions because of the bankruptcy. He told me another pilot, Jack Fellows, had flown west earlier this year - Apr. Jack retired in 1984. Jack was named Lindon and lived in Hamilton, Montana. I'll check into it. -Jake Lamkins (11/22/19) Talking to Billy Walker today about George Bilotta's memorial service and told him of my chat with Bob. Billy said he was the father of Rex Lane who was a station agent then station management. He said he knew Jack Fellows though he never flew with him. He was a fine fellow. I found Jack's obituary after a web search. -Jake Lamkins (11/23/19) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Jack Fellows Just got word that DEN pilot Jack Fellows flew west. He passed away on June 11, at the Remington. My Folks were/are in 312 and I just discovered the Fellow’s were in 307. It is a difficult time. Particularly for the surviving spouse.
