JW MILLER 1967 - 1984 PILOT DEN With regret...the passing of JW Miller...Thursday, December 11th. No other details at this time. I'm having trouble contacting all the FAL personnel because of e-mail address changes, etc. Please advise interested people in your area. Regretfully, -Ace Avakian (12/14/03) What was he called? JW? Or was there another name the FLamily would know him by. Let me know & I'll post at the FL Club and put in the newsletter. Thanks, -Jake Lamkins (12/14/03) We all knew him as "JW Miller." He flew with me quite a few times - an accomplished pilot and heck of a nice guy! -Ace Avakian (12/14/03) Posted at the FL Club: Ace sent this note: "With regret...the passing of JW Miller...Thursday, December 11th. Anyone with info please post it here for the FLamily. -Jake Lamkins (12/14/03) FAL MILLER, JOHN W ALPA# 0314864 DOB 03/25/35 DOH 06/01/67 Class RT 05/01/84 per ALPA Frontier list. -Jake Lamkins (7/16/12) J. W. MILLER Pilot seniority date of 6/5/67 per the 9/1/81 FL/ALPA Seniority List. He is not on the 9/1/85 list so the ALPA list date of retirement 5/1/84 must be correct. -Jake Lamkins (7/16/12) FLacebook I grew up in the era of the old Frontier and wouldn't change it for the world. My father was Captain J.W. (John) Miller (12/11/03) based out of Denver and my mom was a flight attendant for Western. He was forced to retire early - two years or so before they were no more. I have a ton of old photos and such and would love to share. I also knew a few other awesome pilots! -Heather Miller (3/7/20) Hi Heather, I'm hoping you can help update your dad's memorial webpage. We need a photo of him and his obituary. Thanks and welcome aboard. -Jake Lamkins (3/7/20) I will get them to you within the next few days. We're in the process of putting our house on the market tomorrow so I have to find the box. The good thing is I just went through it all. I have a ton of stuff aside from his pics. If I am being honest it's been quite awhile since he passed but seeing all you guys and some who remember him took my by surprise - emotionally. My dad held a special place in my heart and his career with Frontier is a large part of that. It felt like we were a part of something pretty amazing and to this day it's very still much a strong sentiment not easily described. -Heather Miller (3/11/20) Thank you for everything you do for this page. Please let me know if I can ever be of assistance. Thank you so much! -Heather Miller (3/17/20) J W MILLER Emp# 05718 DEN second officer DOB 3/25/35 DOH 7/10/67 Per the Dec 1970 Frontier Employees Roster. Do not know why his pilot seniority is 6/5/67 and his DOH is 7/10/67. The ALPA Roster shows 6/1/67 as his pilot seniority date. All my ALPA seniority lists show it as 6/5/67. J W MILLER DEN 737 captain, SL Per the May 1984 pilot domicile list. He is not on the May 1985 list. -Jake Lamkins (4/3/20) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: J W Miller DEN pilot J W Miller's memorial webpage has been updated at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/JW_Miller.html His daughter sent some photos but we still need an obituary. -Jake Lamkins (4/4/20) Heather Miller Thank you so much!
