HUGH LUCHT 1958 - 1986 AIRCRAFT MECHANIC DEN I can't seem to find the website that shows deceased members of Old Frontier. Could you pass it on to me? Thanks. -Nancy (Mrs. Hubert) Lucht (8/5/08) Did you or Hubert work at Frontier? -Jake Lamkins (8/5/08) Hubert (usually called "Hugh") worked there for 28 years. He was a line mechanic most of that time, and was 54 1/2 when they locked the doors. Lousy luck. -Nancy Lucht (8/5/08) H LUCHT Mechanic seniority date of 8/25/58 on the 11/1/74 FL/IAM seniority list. Shown on the 7/1/67 FL Mx Personnel Roster as day shift mechanic in Aircraft Overhaul. -Jake Lamkins (8/5/08) I started in overhaul, then went to line service with DC-3's, returned to overhaul with Convair 340's, worked in overhaul & heavy check on 340's and 580's. I spent the last years on line service. I was always in Denver. My whole aircraft career was at Stapleton. -Hugh Lucht (8/5/08) Don Cecil went to breakfast with "the boys"this morning and one of them told him Hugh Lucht had died around a month ago. Juanita nor I have not heard anything about it and we try to stay on top of those things. Have you heard anything about it? -Shirley Drnovsek (11/5/14) No, I had not heard about Hugh. I could not find an obituary with a web search but I did find a notice of death at http://www.pfh-co.com/book-of-memories/1958963/Lucht-Hubert/service-details.php -Jake Lamkins (11/6/14) When Don when to breakfast Pete Salli told the boys that Hugh had died. Then I asked Clyde Barker about it at our luncheon yesterday and yes, he did agree with Don that Pete told them he ran into Hugh's wife at the grocery store and she told him Hugh had just recently died (I don't have the date). Apparently he didn't want any services or notices to go our so his family had him cremated and then buried. And that is all I could find out. Juanita and I both searched the obits and couldn't find anything else. -Shirley Drnovsek (11/7/14) FLacebook - FL Club DEN aircraft mechanic Hugh Lucht's memorial webpage has been posted. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Hugh_Lucht.html Still need a photo of Hugh. -Jake Lamkins (11/14/14) I've been wondering how to let people know about Hugh, so someone must have notified you for me. He didn't want me to put an obit in the paper, and I'm sorry now that I didn't. Anyway, what's the procedure for getting a picture to you? Let me know, and thanks for all you do - we looked at the Old Frontier list often. Hugh died October 3, 2014, two days after his 82nd birthday. He was one of 12 children, and was born near Natoma, KS to Albert Gustaf and Ella Marie Lucht. He is survived by two sisters, his wife Nancy, sons Brian (Jill) Lucht and Jonathan (Shell) Lucht, and three grandchildren: Evan, Joanna and Connor. After serving in Korea he began his career with Frontier, and then stayed five years with Continental as an inspector. -Nan Lucht (11/25/14) Hi Nancy, Great hearing from you and my condolences for your loss. I hope the memorial webpage I made for Hugh is some consolation. A photo(s) would be great. Just scan them and email to me. I can crop and prepare them. Dates and IDs, if needed, would be helpful. -Jake Lamkins (11/25/14) Please let me know if this works. Thanks again for doing this. I had to wait so my son could show me how to find the picture I wanted to attach! This one is 2007. We have some more recent ones, but this is how he looked before his health started going down. -Nan Lucht (12/2/14) Hi Nan, I got your photo and will add it to Hugh's webpage. -Jake Lamkins (12/2/14) FLacebook - FL Club DEN aircraft mechanic Hugh Lucht's memorial webpage has been updated. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Hugh_Lucht.html His wife Nan sent some info and a photo of Hugh. -Jake Lamkins (12/27/14) Goodness, this gets close to home. I worked many years with him. He was the most productive person I have known. Very bright and possessed a natural mechanic talent. God bless his family. -Stu Hammersmark (12/30/14) Thanks! Looks really nice. -Nan Lucht (1/1/15)
