Posted at Ebay.com -Jake Lamkins (5/9/14) FLacebook DFW aircraft mechanic Hub Pratt's CV240 manual is for sale. Anybody remember Hub? He was with CN/FL 1951-86 and flew west in 1994. -Jake Lamkins (5/9/14) FLacebook I remember Hub. When I went to work for Central, Hub and his brother Bill both worked there. They were both mechanics After the strike and the lockout, Bill went to work for American and turned down the offer to come back when the rest of us did. Hub came back and stayed at DFW till 86 I think. They were a great pair. -Bill Guthrie (5/10/14) FLacebook - FL Club FTW ACF GSW PHX DFW aircraft mechanic Hub Pratt's memorial webpage has been upgraded. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Hub_Pratt.html Still need a photo and obituary for Hub. -Jake Lamkins (5/11/14) I was looking at http://www.law.cornell.edu/supremecourt/text/372/682 trying to see if this was when the Pratt brothers were off work. Seems like you told me you were one of them too. Is this the lockout you mentioned about them? Do you recall the names of the six that were fired? -Jake Lamkins (5/12/14) As I remember the strike only lasted about 8 days. When the IAM called an end,we were all called in for interviews. Most people that previously held lower classifications( cleaner, stock clerk) were offered an opportunity to return to those positions. About half of us were terminated and reinstated after the court ruling. That took six and a half years -Bill Guthrie (5/12/14) I found a court decision that named R. K. Doud, S. V. Cornstubble, O. L. Broom, C. R. Casey, P. R. Davis and E. E. Fuqua, Appellants, Are these the six mechanics that were out for six years? How long were the Pratts, you and others out? Thanks, -Jake Lamkins (5/12/14) That's the six Jake. We were all out six years -Bill Guthrie (5/12/14) I'm still trying to get it straight. Besides the six named in the lawsuit, how many others were out six years such as you and the Pratt brothers? Did you all get back pay and seniority? Thanks for bearing with me, -Jake Lamkins (5/12/14) I think there was about 80 or more. We all got our seniority back to hire in date. I think the 6 got a monetary settlement. Not sure how much. -Bill Guthrie (5/12/14)
