HERB NICHOLS 1946 -1950 STATION AGENT DEN Herb is mentioned on page 21 of the Greg Stearns Frontier Airlines history about the days in mid 1946 before the start of scheduled service by Monarch Airlines. -Jake Lamkins (8/14/12) "Just days before, Monarch’s freshman agent corps were in school learning airline operations, weather, and aircraft loading. Agent Herb Nichols had drawn up plans and began arranging the Denver ticket counter and waiting area. Complete with magazine racks, a cigarette machine, and pay phone, the counter was now set to handle whatever business was ready to follow the infant carrier, should it ever start." -Frontier Airlines: A History of the Former Frontier Airlines 1950-1986 by Greg Stearns (8/14/12) Herb is not on the Nov 1955 Frontier employees roster. I'll guess he left in 1950 when Frontier Airlines was formed from a merger of Monarch, Challenger and Arizona Airlines -Jake Lamkins (11/11/19) FLacebook - FL Club FLight West: Herb Nichols DEN station agent Herb Nichols' memorial webpage is posted at http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Herb_Nichols.html Not much info on Herb so post anything you have.
