Gary (aka GB) Jones was in my class AUG 66.
Gary was short, reddish hair.
The "OTHER" GERRY JONES (pronounced 'Jerry Jones) was hired a few years later. 
He was about 6'1'' 200 lbs 'black hair''.

Jake, I am Ardell's wife (Pat) he has asked me if I knew 
when Gerry Jones's birthday was. My brothers and I grew up 
with Gerry and his brother Dan in Louviers, Colo. Gerry and 
my brother Dick were best buddies and the same age. There 
are no longer any family members left that I know of in the 
area to verify. I can be pretty sure of his birth year but 
have no idea of his birth date. My brother Dick was born in 
1935 and graduated from High School in 1953. Gerry was also 
in this graduating class. Hope this will help you in some way.

Thanks for the additional info.
I tried all the Jones in the Social Security Death Index
born in 1935 and dying in 1996
but I still could not locate Gerry.
Was his name Gerry or was it a nickname for Gerald
or Gerard or something like that?
Was it his first name or middle name?

The FL pilot seniority list has Jerry listed as G. H. Jones (4/24/67).  
Columbine Genealogy has him listed as: Gerald Herbert "Jerry" Jones, 1935; no month/day listed.

Ernie Van Winkle phoned with info about Gary Jones
and Gerry Jones who were listed in the last Frontier newsletter.
He said Gerry was killed in a snowmobile accident in 1996.
Ernie repeated the story about Gary (aka GB) Jones
going off into the desert to die that was relayed by Bonnie.
He added that dispatcher Russ Miller had also died in 1996.
