Gayle Bussinger Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Bassett Methodist church for Gayle Bussinger, former resident, who died in an airplane accident at Miles city; Mont last Thursday night. Gayle was a passenger on a Frontier plane that crashed in a snow storm about two miles from the airport. He was returning from Billings where he had delivered a rental automobile. A crew of three and one other passenger were aboard the airplane. Gayle was born in Rock County and lived most of his life here. He graduated from Rock County high school in 1955 and spent time in the service before being employed by the airline. He is survived by his wife Linda, a daughter, Tracy, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Bussinger, three brothers and two sisters. Burial was in Bassett Memorial Park Cemetery. The Rev. C.H. Jacobson of First Lutheran Church officiated. Burial will be in the Bassett Memorial Cemetery at Bassett, Neb. Mr. Bussinger was enroute to Miles City from Billings when the crash occurred. Thursday was his day off from work. His wife was waiting at the Miles City airport. He was born Jan. 21, 1937, at Bassett, Neb., a son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul H. Bussinger. He attended Bassett schools. After his discharge from the service, he began work for Frontier Airlines. He was employed first at Ainsworth, Neb., later transferred to Sterling, Colo., and to Miles City last April. Surviving are the widow, Linda; a daughter, Tracy 5; his parents of Bassett; three brothers, Kenneth Bussinger of Yankton, S.D., Marvin Bussinger of Dix, Neb., and Gerald Bussinger of Bassett; two sisters, Mrs. Paula Shull of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Joanne Winn of Ainsworth, neb.
