See accident report at http://www.aircraftone.com/aircraft/accidents/20001214X39001.asp -Jake Lamkins (1/20/15) Gary lived in Saratoga. He owned a Piper Comanche 400, a high performance single-engine aircraft that he commuted with for hid FAL flights. He was, as I recall, on his way home from CPR when he, surprisingly, flew into Elk Mountain on a dark March night in 1984. Gary Harson's last flight ended on the north side joining others dating back to the airmail days. Larry Elliott and I grew up in Saratoga. We're still good friends. I think Larry flew with Gary some at FAL and likely knew him better than I did. Gary and I were too close in seniority to have flown together, but I knew him pretty well. I was MEC at the time of Gary's accident. -Billy Walker (1/21/15) G L HARSEN DEN 737 first officer per the 4/78 FL Pilots Domicile List G L HARSEN DEN 737 captain per the 5/83 FL Pilots Domicile List -Jake Lamkins (2/4/15) FLacebook - FL Club DEN pilot Gary Harsen's memorial webpage has been upgraded. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Gary_Harsen.html Still need a photo and obituary for Gary. -Jake Lamkins (2/5/15)
