GARY BOLLSCHWEILER 1955 - 1986 STATION AGENT, SENIOR STATION AGENT, STATION MANAGER FMN BFF CNY DEN GTF SLC LEX My name is Jim Wilds, and I worked for FL from March 14, 1960, until August 24, 1986. I started in BFF, which was a transfer station for CV-340s and DC-3s. Five flights in at the same time in the morning, and then the same thing that evening. We all worked split shifts, and because of the crazy hours, the greatest majority of our social life was with our fellow employees and their families. I think that this had a lot to do with the tremendous feeling of "family" among the "old Frontier" employees. The manager was Royal Burt, who could out-work and out-cuss the rest of us combined. The senior agent was Gary Bollschweiler (Obie), who was a great teacher and leader. -Jim Wilds (4/25/05) Last I heard O.G. Bollschweiler was in Salt Lake area and has parents there who own a construction company. -Barbara Brown (1/9/07) May 5, 2007 Gary and I shared the same old teacher, Royal Burt. I feel I have lost a great friend. We did share some great times together. I have lost part of my past. Gary we will miss you. (8/22/20) David Rice Gary was our relief agent in BFF Laurie Robbins I worked with Gary in LEX. (8/23/20) Jake Lamkins to Laurie Robbins, Do you recall how long he was there? Was he a station agent or management? Laurie Robbins to Jake Lamkins I want to say he was there for about 6 months before I left, but don’t know how long he stayed after that. He was just an agent like the rest of us, only with more seniority. My memory from 30+ years ago could be a bit flawed though! (8/24/20)
