FRED BOSTON CN BOARD OF DIRECTORS 1949 - 1967 FTW ACF GSW Do you remember a Fred Boston that was rather large stockholder in CN back about 1964? He had a pent-house in the Skirvin Hotel in Oklahoma City . He had a couple of girls, one was Judy and she worked the tkt ctr in OKC the same time I was there. We dated a couple of time, she also drove a Corvette. Man, I think I messed that deal up. -Bill McKee (2/4/10) Yes, he's in my files. Do you recall when they left CN? -Jake Lamkins (2/4/10) Fred's two obituaries note his service on the Central Airlines Board of Directors. One says it was 1950 - 1964 and the other says 17 years until Central was bought by Frontier. My records show him on the board from 1952 to 1965. They are incomplete for the earlier and later dates. It is safe to assume Fred was involved with Keith Kahle from the start. As early as 1946, an article on Keith prominently mentions Enid, Oklahoma being in his plans for Central. Enid is where Fred was a prominent businessman. I will show his time at Central from 1950 to 1967 until info otherwise is received. -Jake Lamkins (1/9/14) FLacebook and FL Club CN board member Fred Boston's memorial webpage is posted. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Fred_Boston.html Fred was on the board the entire span of Central's life. His daughter Judy was a CN reservation agent and ticket counter agent. -Jake Lamkins (1/10/14)
