I don’t know if you knew Ethel Field, 
but she worked at the original Frontier Airlines years ago. 
She was my Supervisor of the Sales Audit Section of Revenue Accounting. 
I was hired by her in March 7th of 1966. 
She retired in the fall of 1979 after more than 35yrs. 
I then took her place.  
A lot of changes happen, which , 
I am sorry led to the end of Frontier in August of 1986. 
Ethel and her husband, John, were friends for ever. 
John died two years ago and Ethel died April 23, 2012. 
Please mention this in your next letter to the remaining FLriends know.

She must have been one of the earliest employees at Monarch
if she had 35 years in 1979 which means she started in 1944.
Do you have a photo of her and/or her obituary.

She is not in the Dec 1979 QRD.
Cannot find any mention of her retirement in the 1979-80 FL News.
Nor an obituary either.
Nothing at FindAGrave.com.

Thanks for your email. 
This morning, I was going thru my files and 
found a Frontier Newspaper showing Ethel`s retirement info. 
As of December 1978 she was with FL for 27 years. 
I am sorry for the error. No obituary was listed in the newspaper. 
Thanks for your interest in her.
She was a wonderful person and a great supervisor at Frontier Airlines.

Ethel was my 1st supervisor at Frontier Airlines when I was hired for sales audit in 1974.  
She was a grand lady!  
She gave me a couple of jewelry items for my birthdays that were turquoise, and I still have them.  
She loved and always wore turquoise!  
I have thought of her often.
