Some of these included Stan Talbert, Dwayne Franklin, Ernie Harms, Kenny Ausherman, Dick Pleier, Bill McKinley, Jessie Rodriguez, Dan Jagel and others. Most commuted to DEN but Ernie commuted for years to BIL. The Billings newspaper did an article on his long commute every week. I was one of the few that actually moved to IAD and had the commuter pad. At one time we had 5 of us in a two bedroom apartment. (5/21/12) FLacebook: I left in late 1979 and went to ELP and a few months later to DEN as SSA. A lot of us wound up there. In 1988 a lot of the FL folks that went to UA all moved to IAD to get full time ramp. Including Bill McKinley, Dick Pleier, Dwayne Franklin, Stan Talbert, Kenny Auscherman, Ernie Harms to name a few. -Gary Wingert (9/4/12) Jake, do you have anything on Ken Ausherman or Ernie Harms? Our condolences to his family. http://FAL-1.tripod.com/Ernie_Harms.html -Jake Lamkins (9/1/21) Ron Abfalter One of the nicest people I ever worked around. Phil Stallings RIP Ernie. Jim Meade Loved working with Ernie. Robin Akens Loved working with Ernie in BIL and later in DEN. When I first started working there he told me that the lowest in Senority always had to bake a cake with chocolate frosting and bring to work on their Friday. I continued to bake a cake for him each week, truth was that I enjoyed his delight. (9/1/21) Loren Holmgren RIP Ernie. Always enjoyed working with you in DEN WYS & BIL. Jake Lamkins When did Ernie work WYS? Loren Holmgren We worked WYS 1 summer about 73 or 74. Trish Swanson-Hawk Prayers for his wife, family and many friends. Mike White I really did not know Ernie that well while at Frontier. Ernie went to UA and went to IAD to get full time ramp like many of us from FL that went to UA in DEN. Ernie rented a room from me and commuted to and from IAD to BIL most every day off. He was always positive and it was great when he could get back to DEN. So sorry to hear about his passing and my thoughts are with his wife Iona and family. (9/2/21) Fred Watson r.i.p. Del Zimmerman I remember him well. Great guy. (9/4/21)
